Charon: Plasticine Model
Getting up early every morning and working on my not-yet-paid projects really pushes them forward.
Today I finished the plasticine model of Charon, the second also-non-silhouette character for my film:

See my flicker photostream for a larger version of this picture.
I sculpted the model's whole body from plasticine except for the hands. They're made of a dozen layers of liquid latex to keep them slim and tiny.
Next I'm going to build the mold to eventually cast the puppet and bring the puppet making process to an end as soon as possible.

Hey Michael, I'm quite curious how he'll eventually move as well… Fingers crossed that this time it'll be much easier to make the mold han it has been with my Orpheus character…

I was so looking forward for this character… maybe just my 'special interest' in things taking shape slightly out but still based on the 'regular' human form… ideas taking shape in the platonean sense… stuff, you know…
This one is more than lean and stretched… I really love the springyness in his limbs… a pleasure to watch and a pleasure to imagine moving !
